Lousy concept but once you get use to it, it's no big deal. Keep in mind that if you play as co-op, the other players must also run the mod for the same map or they will simply crash the game. Then there was playing them, before playing each map, one had to run the mod for each map first and then you could either host it or play single player thru the options I mentioned above. Installing them was not exactly a piece of cake for one had to create a folder within a folder that was hidden and on top of that the maps were not set up properly on the zip file and many did not work right off the back.
Recently a new set of zombie maps were released to add more fun to the game. The more you kill the better the chances of buying the better guns, including the desperately wanted ray gun which can mean the difference between dying within the first 15 rounds and going beyond round 30. Weapons and ammo can be found thru out the maps, on walls or inside boxes, for a price of course. The point is to survive as many rounds as possible will the zombies becoming faster, harder to kill and growing in numbers. Apart from being part of the game, zombie mode on COD WAW is not about soldiers turning into zombies but about a soldier or a group of soldiers in co-op mode (up to 4 players) inside a building doing everything within their power to keep Nazi Zombies from entering the building and killing them. The zombie mode in Call of Duty WAW, however, is a bit different from those on COD 4 and COD2. Call of Duty 2 also has a zombie mode like the one on Call of Duty 4, they are pretty similar. All in all its a fun game, so long as you are a soldier, being a zombie sucks. There are only 3 ways to win, as a soldier you either beat the time clock and those still alive win, you are the last man standing and you get an awesome ray gun and beat the clock or all the soldiers die and the zombies win. One by one the soldiers fall and turn zombies with limited attack abilities (no guns for zombies). You can also enjoy zombie mode if a friend has already unlocked it and invites you to try the co-oped mode of the game.īefore Call of Duty WAW, I had played the zombie mode created for Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare where basically everyone started off as a soldier and after a couple of minutes the computer would randomly select one player and automatically make him/her the first zombie in the game, his role? To add more zombies to his horde by killing the remaining soldiers. Anyways, as some of you may already know (and those who don't) Call of Duty WAW has a built in zombie mode that can only be accessed 1 of 2 ways either by completing the single player on Veterans difficulty or to enter a code thru the console.
